homily

Yesterday I preached for the first time ever. In a class. On Amos 7:1-9. It went better than I'd expected.

The biggest surprise for me? I enjoyed it!

[By the way, I don't feel any less feminine. Just in case you wondered.]

Yay for Preacher Kelli! :) I have the blessing of teaching the Word to my students everyday. It's very similar, but without the official title of "preaching".
I'm proud of you. ;)

Believe whatever you want, T-boz. (It doesn't stop anyone else!) But let's keep it on the DL for now - I want to save being written up in any c of C publications for a really special occasion.

For example, what do you think of clowns?

DPS - How about we join forces for a full-fledged circus ministry?! You tackle the midgets (not literally of course), and I'll infiltrate the clown ranks? Tera used to be in Flying Cats... maybe she could minister to the acrobats... who else could we rope into this?!

That rocks-I am sure you did great!! I miss and love you dearly, my friend-I hope to talk to you soon!! God bless~

Hey, can I get in on this circus act?!

Donald - loved the dialogue between John and yourself - especially the reflection on circus midgets, Qoheleth, and Zacchaeus. I sense that you're laying some fine-tuned theological groundwork for circus outreach!

Katherine - oh, wow, I miss you too!!! I've been slightly jealous of the one month sabbatical as the Ch. Hist. rough draft due date looms ever closer. And of course, you are more than welcome to join the circus ministry - how do you feel about lion taming?

It was wonderful to see you today-good luck on that paper-I know you will rock it!!

I love you tons and tons~

I am all about the lion taming...and tell Tera she needs to actually write on her blog-we need to be imparted with her wisdom!! :)
